2018 Wild Safari Hyaenodon Gigas Toy Model


The Hyaenodon Gigas was a fierce predator for over 25 million years, from the Eocene Period to the Miocene Period. Though the name references hyena, the two animals are not closely related. Hyaenodon Gigas looked and behaved closer to a modern day wolf. 


The Hyaenodon Gigas was widespread, and found over Africa, Asia, North America, and Europe. It is one of the largest species during its time, growing over 10 feet long, 5 feet tall, and weighing over 1,000 pounds.
