Papo Oviraptor Toy Model
The Oviraptor lived about 75 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period. The name means "egg thief" becuase it was discovered on top of a pile of eggs. The paleontologist believed it was in the process of stealing them when it was killed. It is now believed that it was the oviraptor's eggs, and it was protecting them. The oviraptor can have up to 20 eggs at a time. It was 8 ft. long, and weighed about 75 pounds. It walked on two legs, and had three fingers on each front limb, used to grasp things. They also had a bony crest on top of its head used to crush up things to make them easier to eat.
