Papo Kaprosuchus Toy Model
The Kaprosuchus lived in the middle Cretaceous Period, approximately 95 to 100 million years ago in North Africa. It was given its name, meaning "boar crocodile" because its skill had oversized tusks in its upper and lower jaw. It had forward facing eyes, meaning it likely wandered around the African Plains hunting. Once it found its prey, it would use its tusks to impale it, then use its strong jaws to hold it. It was around 20 feet long, and 2,000 pounds. Its legs were much longer than modern day crocodiles, allowing it to travel long distances on land.
