Gigantspinasaurus has a meaning of Giant-spined lizard. This dinosaur comes from the Upper Jurassic period, and they consumed a Herbivorous diet.

The Gigantspinasaurus is probably the earliest known stefosaur. They are notable for the two enormous curved shoulder spines that would serve as protection to their flanks. Along with their should spines, they had relatively small dorsal plates along its back.
